In 2010, the Richard Mille RM 027 Tourbillon was born to meet a challenge. It marked the beginning of an exciting adventure, a quest for extraordinary lightness and performance. The Richard Mille legend finally culminates with the RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon Rafael Nadal. This limited edition of just 80 pieces weighs 11.5 grams without strap and can withstand 14,000G, twice the force of a manual-wound tourbillon.
The RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon Rafael Nadal project began in 2019, but its story goes back a long way. The watch is the result of a meeting that has since led to a deep friendship. Since then, Rafael Nadal has won one victory after another wearing a Mille replica watches swiss.
The RM 27-05 project was designed with the goal of reducing weight, and the result has an impressive technical data sheet. While its austere temperament does mark a return to the collection's roots, rethinking watchmaking has been the main theme at every stage of its development. Here, the movement is fixed to the case without the use of any screws. The entire mechanism is housed within a one-piece caseback/caseside unit, which is then topped by the flange and bezel. The entire assembly presses onto the movement, holding it firmly in place. One of the great strengths of this high quality cheap watches is the quality of its new composite material, Carbon TPT B.4, which took us five years to develop with our Swiss partner North Thin Ply Technology NTPT. Carbon TPT B.4 is an optimized anisotropic material that allows the case to be machined into thinner cross-sections. Compared to earlier Carbon TPT, the new composite material is 4% denser, the fibers 15% stiffer, and the resin 30% stronger.
